Welcome to the LTAP/TTAP Academy. The goal of this website is to provide both new and current LTAP/TTAP staff with a broad overview of the national program and opportunities for continued professional development. Whether you are a new director, a part time staff person or a student helping out your Center, the online LTAP/TTAP Academy will help you learn more about how your Center fits in with the national program.

There are four sections in the Academy. In Operations you will learn about the core tasks that all LTAP/TTAP Centers perform, including information on newsletters, the Program and Center Analysis Reports (PAR and CARs), Center websites and the LTAP/TTAP Strategic Plan.

The History section provides detailed information on how LTAP/TTAP began and how it has evolved over the last 25 years. In Program Organization you will find out more about the key partners in LTAP/TTAP and their roles and responsibilities. This includes the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the individual Centers and the National LTAP Association (NLTAPA).

The section on Partnerships includes information on the key groups that work with LTAP/TTAP Centers and the national program.

Each section of the Academy provides three levels of information

• Basic – provides a brief overview of the topic.
• Intermediate – provides more detail and background on the topic and shows you where to get more information.
• Advanced – provides in-depth information including best practices and tutorials for those Center staff that have a basic level of familiarity with the topic.
